Hopefully you've all managed to have a listen to a few tracks from Martina's new album- we would love to know what you think. What are your new favourites etc etc?

i love carnies!!
could you tell me the meaning of this word??i'm italian and i have some problem with the translation of this term!!
I love all the tracks from "The Blue God" very much, except "Poison" (because of the chorus), my favourite tracks are :

"Something to Say" - addictive, very good production, I like very much the way M sings, reminds me of the David Holmes collaborations. (for me "Outrun" was a masterpiece...)
"Razor Tongue" - Deep ... Martina I love you ;) "you should leave me ..."
"Phoenix" - simple, efficient, very modern, in this subtle space between happiness and sadness, a place few people know, Billie ...
"Carnies" - well done , it works. sounds like we're going down to your fair again ...
'Baby Blue" - this one deserves a good video lol ...
"Snowman" - M meets Tim Burton ... very original

ok I stop but I told you I love them all ...
I also like very much "Soldier Boy", every time you drop your chorus my heart falls down like in da good ol days ...
the bass line (and the voice of course but the voice is always good ) on "Trust Me" is huge, "Why should I" is also a masterpiece ... I like "Deflect" but I won't listen cause it doesn't help me stop smoking ... lol
Thank you so much 4 sounding like a friend, it helps ...
please , record "music box" ..
and a duet with Cee-Lo ...
thanx lol.
Peace
by the way the remix of "I still feel" by Thomas Erikson that you didn't release is one of my favourite songs, and the live version with the guitar & turntables is ... O my gosh ...no word
I wasn't big on Poison until I heard Leila's remix, it's incredible!
I think today is the first day it's clicked as a whole. I've fallen in love with the new songs all over again. I wanna hear more from this era!
I love "baby blue". It really goes to directly to the heart of the listener! It makes you breathless!
:D

I imported The Blue God a while ago.

I love this record. It's the most dense, dimensional, and quixotic (no pun intended) mix of melodies I've ever been graced with.

Martina has completely redefined herself and she hasn't missed a step.
Shangri La!

best. song. ever. period. end. of. story.
Well I can't say too much because I got to know her at a massive attack concert. What I can say is that she is the best artist I have ever seen. Poison live is so beautiful, and the looped song which Im researching whats the name, It made me cry for the first time in my life because of the tenderness she puts while dancing, pure beauty. Sorry for not answering the original question I just wanted to share this with people that appreciate this wonderful woman!!!! I'm in love again....
Looped song? Intro or Ilya:)
Doesn;t seem like, perhaps a live version of another?
Don't know, I mentioned these 2 according to what I know thanks to videos on YouTube, I didn't have a chance to see her live:)
Ok Now I can say something again, sorry for the 2 year delay. Day one of listening !
Phenix, and Poison are a bit too obvious, arent they.

Well these two pieces, are perhaps from the obvious songs I ever heard, the two most beautiful.
There is so much tenderness in Phoenix, a delightful touch of bright feelings with golden lights its simplicity only confirms it again and again, it is has to be a beautiful soul what created that song, beautiful heart.
Now, somebody out there mentioned something about Poison.
A bit retro, perhaps a timeless classic beautiful mermaid. Beauty dragging you to danger. Sharp sexiness, I definitely need to meet her. How does it feel to have that attractor closer?

Maybe dear Martina, you never really knew I belonged to you!!!
