NEW MARTINA SINGLE!

Hello dear friends,

New tracks Carnies and Shangri La from the forthcoming album are now up on the myspace page. If you find you're missing Valentine you can visit her over on the website ; )

Carnies was written around the piano riff probably about halfway through the making of the album. It was referred to as Pop Song for about a year because I couldn't settle on a lyric for it until the very last session in March. It was tough because lyrics initially were too light or too dark. One opening line was "Cemeteries for absolution", dear oh dear! To me the song feels both jubilant and nostalgic. It's always been one of my favourites which is good cos it's going to be the first single. The album is due in May.
